End-to-End Processes
End-to-end processes represent the complete flow of activities required to deliver a defined outcome across multiple functions or process families. They reflect how work actually moves through the enterprise from initiation to completion.
Within the Business Process Architecture, end-to-end processes connect enterprise intent with operational execution while maintaining governance and accountability.
Purpose
End-to-end processes provide visibility into cross-functional workflows and ensure that enterprise outcomes are achieved efficiently, consistently, and under appropriate control.
Defining an End-to-End Process
An end-to-end process begins with a defined trigger and concludes with a measurable outcome. It may span multiple Process Families, roles, and systems while remaining accountable to a single process owner.
Cross-Functional Flow
End-to-end processes cross organizational and functional boundaries. Defined inputs, outputs, and handoffs ensure continuity of execution while preserving clear governance responsibilities.
Governance and Control
Governance requirements are applied to end-to-end processes based on their risk, regulatory impact, and business criticality. Quality-critical processes are subject to oversight under the Quality Management System.
