Change & Impact
Change management ensures that modifications to processes, systems, or organizational structures are evaluated for their potential impact before implementation. Effective change management protects process integrity, compliance, and performance.
This page explains how change and impact assessment are applied within the Enterprise Business Process Architecture to support controlled evolution of the enterprise.
Purpose
Managing change ensures that enterprise processes remain effective and compliant as the organization evolves. Impact assessment identifies risks, dependencies, and required controls associated with proposed changes.
Types of Change
Changes may include updates to processes, systems, roles, documentation, suppliers, or organizational structure. Each type of change may introduce operational, quality, or compliance impacts.
Impact Assessment
Impact assessment evaluates how a proposed change affects process scope, controls, documentation, systems, and regulatory obligations. The depth of assessment is proportional to risk and criticality.
Governance and Oversight
Changes impacting quality-critical processes are governed under the Quality Management System and require appropriate review, approval, and verification prior to implementation.
