Workplace Policies

Workplace Policies define the official, enforceable rules, safety expectations, and compliance requirements that apply across Sawgrass Nutra Labs. These policies support employee safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, and ethical business practices.

Policies explain what is required and why. Detailed instructions for completing tasks are provided in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and employment-related guidance is outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Safety & Quality Policies

Workplace Health & Safety Policy

Sawgrass Nutra Labs is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Employees are expected to follow established safety rules, remain alert to hazards, report unsafe conditions, and stop work that presents an imminent risk to people or property.

Safety is a shared responsibility. Compliance with safety policies and applicable regulations is a condition of employment.

GMP & Quality Compliance Policy

The company requires strict adherence to applicable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and approved quality procedures. Employees must perform work only as authorized, follow documented procedures, and maintain accurate and complete records.

Bypassing procedures, falsifying records, or concealing quality concerns is prohibited and subject to disciplinary action.

Product Safety & Consumer Protection Policy

Protecting consumers is a fundamental responsibility of Sawgrass Nutra Labs. Employees must conduct work in a manner that prevents contamination, adulteration, mislabeling, or other conditions that could compromise product safety.

Any concern that could impact product safety must be escalated promptly.

Incident, Injury & Near-Miss Reporting Policy

All injuries, safety incidents, and near-miss events must be reported promptly. Reporting helps prevent future harm and supports continuous improvement.

Reporting in good faith will not result in retaliation.

Operational & Facility Safety Policies

Hygiene, Sanitation & Illness Reporting Policy

Employees are expected to maintain appropriate personal hygiene and report illnesses or conditions that could impact product integrity or workplace safety. Cleanliness and sanitation are essential to both employee health and product quality.

Chemical Safety & Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Policy

Hazardous chemicals must be handled, labeled, stored, and used in accordance with applicable safety requirements. Employees must follow hazard communication practices and complete required training before working with chemicals.

Equipment Safety & Lockout/Tagout Policy

Only authorized and trained individuals may operate or service equipment. Equipment safeguards and energy isolation controls must not be bypassed or disabled.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Policy

Required PPE must be worn as designated to protect employees and products. The company provides appropriate PPE, and employees are responsible for using it correctly.

Integrity, Information & Ethics Policies

Data Integrity & Documentation Policy

Records must be accurate, complete, legible, and created at the time work is performed. Documentation integrity is essential to quality, traceability, and regulatory compliance.

Confidential & Proprietary Information Policy

Company, customer, supplier, and formulation information must be protected from unauthorized use or disclosure. Confidentiality obligations are further outlined in the Employee Handbook and applicable agreements.

Ethics, Integrity & Speak-Up Policy

Employees are expected to act ethically and raise concerns when something does not seem right. Reports may be made without fear of retaliation through management, Human Resources, Quality, or other designated channels.

Emergency & Environmental Policies

Emergency Preparedness & Evacuation Policy

Employees must follow emergency instructions and evacuation procedures during fires, medical emergencies, severe weather, or other emergency situations.

Drug-Free Workplace & Impairment Safety Policy

Impairment that could endanger employees, products, or operations is prohibited. Additional details are outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Environmental Health & Waste Management Policy

Waste handling, spill prevention, and environmental responsibility are required to protect employees, facilities, and the environment.
