Safety Training Overview
Sawgrass Nutra Labs is committed to providing safety training to help employees perform their work safely, protect one another, and comply with applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Safety training supports injury prevention, hazard awareness, and a strong safety culture.
This page provides an overview of safety training expectations and resources. Specific training requirements, content, and records are managed through approved training programs and applicable SOPs.
Purpose of Safety Training
Safety training helps employees understand workplace hazards, safe work practices, and their responsibilities for maintaining a safe work environment. Training is designed to be appropriate to job duties, work environments, and potential risks.
Required Safety Training
Employees may be required to complete safety training based on their role, job responsibilities, and work environment. Required training may include, but is not limited to:
- General workplace safety orientation
- Emergency procedures and evacuation awareness
- Hazard communication and chemical safety (as applicable)
- Equipment or task-specific safety training
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) awareness
Job-Specific & Specialized Training
Certain roles may require additional or specialized safety training based on the nature of the work performed. This may include training related to equipment operation, laboratory or production activities, or higher-risk tasks.
Refresher & Ongoing Training
Safety training may be provided periodically to reinforce safe work practices, address changes in operations, or respond to identified risks or incidents. Refresher training supports continuous improvement and ongoing hazard awareness.
Employee & Leadership Responsibilities
- Employees: Participate in required safety training, follow training guidance, and ask questions when unsure.
- Supervisors & Leaders: Ensure employees receive appropriate safety training and support safe work practices.
Training Records
Completion of required safety training may be documented in accordance with company training and quality systems. Training records support compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
