Emergency Procedures & Contacts
Sawgrass Nutra Labs is committed to protecting the safety and well-being of employees, visitors, and contractors. This page provides guidance on how to respond to emergencies and who to contact based on the type of incident.
In any emergency, personal safety is the top priority. If a situation poses an immediate threat to life, health, or property, emergency services should be contacted immediately.
When to Call 911
Call 911 immediately if any of the following occur:
- Life-threatening injury or medical emergency
- Fire, explosion, or visible smoke
- Severe bleeding, unconsciousness, or difficulty breathing
- Active violence, threats, or suspicious activity
- Chemical release posing immediate danger
- Any situation where immediate emergency response is required
After calling 911, notify site leadership or Security as soon as it is safe to do so.
Medical Emergencies & Injuries
- Emergency: Call 911
- Non-life-threatening injury: Notify Supervisor or EHS
- First Aid: Contact trained first aid responders (if available)
All injuries, regardless of severity, must be reported according to the Incident, Injury & Near-Miss Reporting Policy.
Fire, Explosion & Evacuation
- Activate the nearest fire alarm if present
- Evacuate the area immediately using designated exits
- Do not re-enter the building until cleared by emergency personnel
- Call 911 for any fire, explosion, or uncontrolled smoke
Follow posted evacuation maps and instructions from emergency responders or site leadership.
Chemical Spills & Environmental Incidents
- Immediate danger: Evacuate and call 911
- Non-emergency spill: Notify Supervisor, EHS, or Maintenance
- Do not attempt cleanup unless trained and authorized
Follow chemical safety and hazard communication requirements at all times.
Security & Workplace Violence
- Immediate threat: Call 911
- Move to a safe location if possible
- Report suspicious behavior to Security or site leadership
Employee safety takes precedence over property or operations.
