Top 10 Daily Warehouse (WH) Priorities

These priorities define the daily control focus for Warehouse operations. They are ordered by GMP risk and control importance and must be verified as part of routine warehouse execution.

  1. Receiving & Status Accuracy
    Ensure all received materials are logged the same day, correctly identified, and assigned the appropriate material status prior to storage or use.
  2. Quarantine Integrity
    Verify quarantined and rejected materials remain physically and systemically segregated with no unauthorized access or movement.
  3. Lot-Level Traceability
    Confirm that material identity, lot number, quantity, location, and status are continuously traceable and accurately reflected in inventory records.
  4. Environmental Condition Monitoring
    Review temperature and environmental logs daily and respond immediately to excursions, alarms, or missing data.
  5. Material Movement Control
    Ensure all material movements, transfers, and staging activities are authorized, documented, and executed in accordance with FIFO / FEFO requirements.
  6. Inventory Accuracy & Reconciliation
    Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly, ensuring no undocumented or unsupported adjustments occur.
  7. Shipment Readiness & Verification
    Verify material identity, lot number, quantity, and documentation accuracy before shipment to ensure only approved materials are distributed.
  8. Exception & Damage Identification
    Actively identify damaged, compromised, or nonconforming materials and initiate appropriate documentation and escalation.
  9. Documentation Completeness
    Confirm all required warehouse records, logs, and forms are completed accurately and contemporaneously.
  10. Escalation & Communication
    Escalate material status conflicts, environmental excursions, discrepancies, or uncertainties immediately in accordance with QMS requirements.
