WIN Execution Guide — Filling Operations Control
Non-Authoritative WIN Execution Guide Notice
This WIN Execution Guide supports execution of applicable Family Pack controls.
Authority for control intent and requirements remains solely with the
governing Family Pack. This document does not create, modify, or interpret controls.
Purpose
To support controlled execution of filling operations through configuration
verification, in-process monitoring (IPC), and documented response to
abnormal or out-of-limit conditions.
Scope
Applies to all production filling activities, including configuration
verification, in-process monitoring, logging of run data, and escalation
of deviations impacting product accuracy or labeling alignment.
Section 6 — AA (Auditable Artifacts)
AA-PROD-FILL-LOG — Filling Operations
- Chronological run entries
- IPC monitoring data
- Equipment settings (where applicable)
- Adjustments or abnormalities
- Escalation linkage when limits are exceeded
Auditor focus: Continuous control and defined response to out-of-limit conditions.
QC-REQ Anchor: QC-IPC-002, QC-IPC-004
Section 7 — WIN (Work Instructions / Control Requirements)
WIN-PROD-FILL
- Verify filling configuration.
- Monitor IPC during run.
- Log adjustments and abnormalities.
Stop-Execution Condition:
- Out-of-limit IPC measurement
- Container or labeling misalignment risk
- Equipment malfunction affecting accuracy
Control outcome: Continuous monitoring and defined deviation response.
Process: Production (PROD)
Business Process Owner: Production BPO
Primary Systems / Forms: FILL-LOG-01 (or equivalent batch run log)
BPO-Owned Execution Zone — Operational Step Sequence
Filling operations are executed under controlled configuration and continuous
IPC monitoring to ensure product accuracy, container alignment, and
conformance to defined acceptance criteria.
Step 1 — Verify Filling Configuration
- Confirm correct product, batch, and container configuration.
- Verify equipment setup matches approved batch documentation.
- Confirm fill volume/weight settings align with defined targets.
- Ensure labeling and container components correspond to the authorized batch.
Step 2 — Initiate and Monitor Filling Run
- Start filling operation in accordance with approved instructions.
- Perform defined IPC checks at required intervals.
- Compare measurements to established acceptance criteria.
- Maintain continuous awareness of container flow and labeling alignment.
Step 3 — Log Run Data and Equipment Settings
- Record chronological run entries.
- Document IPC monitoring results.
- Log relevant equipment settings where applicable.
- Ensure entries are contemporaneous and attributable.
Step 4 — Address Adjustments or Abnormalities
- Document any parameter adjustments made during the run.
- Record observed abnormalities or interruptions.
- If IPC results exceed defined limits, stop the affected process segment.
- Escalate deviations in accordance with site quality escalation process.
Stop-Execution Principle
If IPC measurements are out of defined limits, container or labeling
misalignment risk is identified, or equipment malfunction affects accuracy:
STOP — SECURE PRODUCT — ESCALATE — DOCUMENT
