WIN Execution Guide — Blending Execution
Non-Authoritative WIN Execution Guide Notice
This WIN Execution Guide supports execution of applicable Family Pack controls.
Authority for control intent and requirements remains solely with the
governing Family Pack. This document does not create, modify, or interpret controls.
Purpose
To support controlled execution of blending operations in alignment with
approved Master Manufacturing Records (MMR), defined in-process controls (IPC),
and documented monitoring requirements.
Scope
Applies to all production blending activities conducted under an approved
MMR, including parameter monitoring, IPC execution, documentation,
and deviation escalation.
Section 6 — AA (Auditable Artifacts)
AA-PROD-BLEND-REC — Blending Execution
- Batch and material identification
- Blending parameters and execution confirmation
- IPC monitoring results
- Operator verification
- Deviation documentation and escalation reference
Auditor focus: IPC adherence and documented deviation response.
QC-REQ Anchor: QC-IPC-002, QC-IPC-004
Section 7 — WIN (Work Instructions / Control Requirements)
WIN-PROD-BLEND
- Execute blending per approved MMR.
- Perform defined IPC checks.
- Document parameters and monitoring results.
Stop-Execution Condition:
- IPC result outside acceptance criteria
- Unapproved formulation deviation
- Equipment malfunction affecting quality
Control outcome: Blend execution remains within defined acceptance criteria.
Process: Production (PROD)
Business Process Owner: Production BPO
Primary Systems / Forms: BLEND-REC-01 (or equivalent batch record)
BPO-Owned Execution Zone — Operational Step Sequence
Blending operations are executed strictly in accordance with the approved
MMR. All defined parameters and IPC checks are performed and documented
throughout the blending process.
Step 1 — Verify Approved MMR and Batch Authorization
- Confirm correct product and batch identification.
- Verify the current approved MMR revision is in use.
- Confirm all required materials have been verified and authorized.
Step 2 — Confirm Equipment Readiness
- Verify blender identification matches batch documentation.
- Confirm cleaning status and readiness labeling.
- Ensure equipment settings align with MMR-defined parameters.
Step 3 — Execute Blending per MMR Parameters
- Load materials in the sequence defined by the MMR.
- Set and verify blending time, speed, and other critical parameters.
- Monitor blending process to ensure adherence to defined conditions.
Step 4 — Perform Defined IPC Checks
- Conduct in-process checks at defined intervals.
- Record IPC results contemporaneously.
- Compare results to defined acceptance criteria.
Step 5 — Document Execution and Monitoring Results
- Record blending start/stop times and parameter settings.
- Document IPC outcomes and any adjustments performed.
- Obtain operator verification and supervisory review where required.
Stop-Execution Principle
If IPC results fall outside acceptance criteria,
an unapproved formulation deviation is identified,
or equipment malfunction affects quality:
STOP — SECURE MATERIAL — ESCALATE — DOCUMENT
Authority Reminder
This document supports execution only and is non-authoritative.
